1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using LifeMap AI, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not use the service.

2. Description of Service

LifeMap AI is a family care management platform providing AI-powered tools for organizing care routines, coordinating care teams, tracking developmental goals, managing health records, and generating personalized insights for families navigating developmental differences.

3. Account Responsibilities

  • You must be 18+ to create an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining account security and password confidentiality
  • You must provide accurate, current information
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account
  • You must have legal authority (parent/guardian) to enter data about any child profiled

4. No Medical or Clinical Advice

  • LifeMap AI does NOT provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or therapy
  • AI-generated content (including AI Advocate responses, journal insights, and care suggestions) is for informational and organizational purposes ONLY
  • Always consult qualified healthcare professionals for medical decisions
  • The platform does not replace licensed therapists, doctors, psychiatrists, or specialists
  • References to supplements, medications, and therapies are educational, not prescriptive
  • LifeMap AI does not establish any provider-patient relationship

5. AI Content Disclaimer

  • AI features are powered by third-party models (Anthropic Claude)
  • AI outputs may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information
  • Users should independently verify AI-generated content
  • AI does not have access to real-time medical databases
  • We continuously improve AI accuracy but do not guarantee correctness

6. Intellectual Property

  • LifeMap AI platform, branding, and code are owned by LifeMap AI
  • Your data remains yours — we claim no ownership of user-generated content
  • You grant us a limited license to process your data solely to provide the service
  • This license terminates when you delete your account

7. Acceptable Use

  • Do not use the service for any illegal purpose
  • Do not share account credentials with unauthorized persons
  • Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or exploit the platform
  • Do not upload harmful, abusive, fraudulent, or inappropriate content
  • Do not use AI features to generate content that violates laws or harms others

8. Subscription & Billing

  • Free tier available with limited features
  • Paid plans (Lite, Family, Full Access) billed monthly or annually
  • 14-day free trial for new paid accounts
  • Payment processed securely via Stripe
  • Cancellation effective at end of current billing period
  • No refunds for partial billing periods unless required by law
  • Prices may change with 30 days notice

9. Limitation of Liability

  • LifeMap AI is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind
  • We are not liable for any decisions made based on AI-generated content
  • Maximum aggregate liability is limited to $100 or the total fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim, whichever is greater
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • We are not liable for data loss beyond our reasonable control
  • Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of liability — these limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted by law

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LifeMap AI, its founders, employees, and affiliates against any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service, violation of these terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

11. Dispute Resolution & Arbitration

  • Any disputes will be resolved through binding individual arbitration, NOT in court
  • Arbitration conducted under American Arbitration Association (AAA) Consumer Arbitration Rules
  • Class Action Waiver: You agree to bring disputes only in your individual capacity, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class or representative proceeding
  • Small claims court exception: either party may bring qualifying claims in small claims court
  • Opt-out: You may opt out of arbitration by sending written notice to info@lifemap-ai.com within 30 days of account creation
  • Governing law: State of Delaware, United States

12. Termination

  • We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these terms
  • You may delete your account at any time via Settings
  • Upon termination, your data will be deleted per our Privacy Policy
  • Sections on Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Arbitration survive termination

13. Severability

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.

14. Entire Agreement

These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and LifeMap AI.
